阅读文档，看起来 get_upvotes 是 acts_as_votable 上的方法，而不是 acts_as_voter.

我不太了解你代码的上下文，但是 User 不应该对 Post 投票，就像这样：

class Post < ActiveRecord::Base
  acts_as_votable
  belongs_to :user
end

用户模型：

class User < ActiveRecord::Base
  acts_as_voter
  has_many :posts
end
